Global reinsurance broker Gallagher Re has announced the appointment of Louise Tyler as International Chief Operating Officer (COO).
With over two decades of industry experience, Tayler joins Gallagher Re from Aon, where she most recently served as Strategy and Execution Lead for Global Broking – International.
She started her career in the early 2000’s with independent reinsurance broker Benfield, which was later acquired by Aon. Since then, Tyler served in various roles within the company, from technical support, leading the broker support function and strategy and business development for the broader Marine, Specialty, Composite team.
The executive was then named Aon’s Chief of Staff for Reinsurance Solutions in the UK, a role she held prior to her appointment as Strategy and Execution Lead for Global Broking – International.
She is taking over Gallagher’s Re COO role with immediate effect. Based in London, Tyler will report to International CEO, Dirk Spenner, who commented: “As we grow our business, our priority is to enhance our operational capabilities globally.
“Louise’s extensive experience in setting and executing strategy as well as broking operations will be invaluable as we work towards achieving our ambitious growth plans.”
Tyler added: “Gallagher Re has established itself as a highly respected player in the reinsurance market, known for successfully structuring and executing market leading client solutions and consistently delivering innovative solutions. I am delighted to be joining Dirk and his International Leadership team today.”
