Gallagher Re, a global reinsurance broker and advisory firm, has announced the appointment of Minesh Jani as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of India.
“Minesh has built strong, collaborative relationships across clients, markets and regulators in the region, enabling consistent growth and long-term partnerships. His forward-looking approach and deep knowledge of the Indian market will be key as we continue to expand our presence in the region,” a Gallagher Re spokesperson stated.
Jani is joining Gallagher Re from Howden Insurance Brokers Limited, DIFC branch, where he most recently served as Managing Director.
Prior to this, he was the CEO Ed MENA , India and Indian sub continent. Ed was an independent Lloyd’s re/insurance broker acquired by The Ardonagh Group, with Price Forbes absorbing its specialty and global wholesale broking units.
The executive also served as President Reinsurance at ARPL, leading India and Indian Subcontinent markets. During this time he was responsible for portfolio structuring and placement of risks in the world Market.
Jani also spent close to five years at WTW in Mumbai, as well as two years at BMS India and a similar time at ICICI Lombard. Before this, he spent close to six years at the J.B. BODA Group as Manager reinsurance – AFRICA.
