Gen Re Life Corporation, the US life and health division of the multinational reinsurance company, has announced that Harindra Chandrasena has been named as its new President and CEO.
Chandrasena joined Gen Re in 2021 as a Vice President, when he was tasked with building out the US Life & Health Inforce Management function among other responsibilities.
Following this, he was then promoted to Senior VP and also head of the Corporate Development function.
In total, Chandrasena has more than a decade and a half of experience including inforce management, portfolio analytics, valuation, products, derivatives modelling and risk management within the wealth management, insurance and reinsurance industries.
Before joining Gen Re, his last role at Swiss Re was to lead its North America Inforce Management function.
And prior to this, Chandrasena began his career at Manulife/John Hancock.
