Generali Global Corporate & Commercial (GC&C), a subsidiary of the Italian insurance giant, has announced the promotion of Dawood Yeung to Head of Engineering Underwriting for GC&C Asia.
Effective from June 1, Yeung is responsible for overseeing GC&C’s Engineering business across the regional market.
He has over 19 years of international experience in the re/insurance industry, with a focus on underwriting and loss prevention engineering.
Yeung started working at Generali in 2004, joining the company as an Engineering Senior Manager.
Axel Roesner, Head of GC&C Asia, commented on the appointment, “I am delighted to announce the promotion of Dawood Yeung and I am sure that, in his new capacity, he will strongly contribute to further strengthen our unique underwriting skills.
“Having a very strong team, we will continue to be committed to the Asian market and to serve our clients at the highest level,” Roesner added.
GC&C offers P&C insurance and service solutions to medium-large companies and brokers in over 160 countries around the world, and had a total premium income of €2 billion in 2018.
It covers a wide range of lines, including property, casualty, engineering, marine, aviation, cyber and specialty risks.
