Global Atlantic hires Deutsche Bank exec as CTO

Life and annuity re/insurance firm Global Atlantic Financial Group has announced the appointment of Padma Elmgart as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Managing Director, effective June 17.

global-atlantic-logoElmgart most recently served as a senior Chief Information Officer at Deutsche Bank Americas, where she led teams in designing and implementing tech to support the business and address regulatory requirements.

She has more than 20 years’ experience in leveraging technology across operational, digital and investment initiatives, and previously held various positions with Barclays Capital/Lehman Brothers, JP Morgan Securities and CitiGroup.

“Padma’s perspective and leadership will be critical in evolving our technology platform to support our growth objectives,” said Gilles Dellaert, Co-President and Chief Investment Officer. “We’re thrilled to welcome her to the team.”

Global Atlantic was founded at Goldman Sachs in 2004 and separated as an independent company in 2013.
