Gregory Schilz to lead CAC Specialty’s new Environmental Practice Group

CAC Specialty, the specialty insurance brokerage and investment banking platform, has announced the establishment of an Environmental Practice Group, which is to be led by Gregory Schilz as Executive Vice President (EVP).

CAC SpecialtyThe newly-formed national practice group has a focus on developing risk management solutions for clients who own, purchase, develop, and operate properties or assets that either have, or could have, pollution-related exposures.

Joining Schilz as EVP of the Environmental Practice Group is Senior Vice Presidents (SVPs) Grant Nichols and Brian Lu.

Schilz is set to join the firm’s San Francisco office and brings more than 30 years of experience as a specialty environmental broker. During his career, he has placed more than 3,000 PPL policies while pioneering the use of cost-cap insurance.

Based in Miami, Nichols will have a focus on business development and advising many of the same developer and private equity clients that he worked with as an environment attorney.

Based in New York, Lu brings over 15 years of experience as an environment expert, having previously held a number of senior roles, and, for the last decade, has served as an environmental broker.
