Guernsey Finance looks to strengthen London ties with representative appointment

Guernsey Finance has announced the appointment of its new London Representative, naming Adrian Norman as its newest team member, based in London.

Adrian NormanThe island’s promotional agency announces the appointment of Norman as it continues to deepen its presence in London, stating that it expects connections with the city to expand further following the hiring.

He will be tasked with further promoting awareness of the regions finance offering, educating about the island’s financial services, while also connecting London market professionals with Guernsey practitioners.

Norman has 25 years of finance experience, 20 of those spent in Guernsey, where he has worked across funds, private wealth and banking at companies such as Credit Suisse, Northern Trust, Carey Group, Ogier and Odey Wealth.

While at Odey Wealth, Norman moved to London in 2014 to serve as Head of Operations with Odey Asset Management.

Norman commented: “Having built up many years’ experience working across various sectors in both Guernsey and London, I feel I have a good grasp on the needs of both jurisdictions and the areas where they could work together for mutual benefit.

“I am looking forward to help grow Guernsey’s connections with the capital.”

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Guernsey Finance, Dominic Wheatley, added: “Adrian’s roots are in Guernsey’s finance industry and his passion for his home island will make him a great addition to our team. His broad experience means he will be an important link for us across several sectors, and his role will complement the good work already done by GF staff in our most important market.

“Our longer-term future is founded upon our uniquely symbiotic relationship with the City as a major capital provider and a conduit to other economies.”
