Guy Carpenter, the reinsurance broking arm of Marsh McLennan, has announced the additions of James Johns as Managing Director and Joshua O’Donoghue as Senior Vice President (SVP) within its Non-Marine Specialty unit.
Johns, who takes on his new role from August 12th, will operate as a leading broker and account executive with a focus in providing property risk and catastrophe reinsurance solutions for clients.
Based in London, Johns reports to Stephen Firmin, Managing Director, Non-Marine Specialty, Guy Carpenter.
He joins Guy Carpenter from Willis Re where he served as an Executive Director specialising in London Market property reinsurance. Earlier in his career, Johns was also Global Head of Property at Talbot Syndicate and Marsh UK.
O’Donoghue joins the firm in November and will serve as a senior broker and account executive with a focus on property retrocession, alongside direct and facultative reinsurance placements.
He will also be based in London and will report to Roland Morse, Managing Director, Non-Marine Specialty, Guy Carpenter.
O’Donoghue joins the broker from Aon where he served as a Non-Marine Retrocession Broker. Prior to this, he worked at Willis Re as a US Property Reinsurance broker.
