H.W. Kaufman adds Director of Cyber Risk, Node International

H.W. Kaufman Group, an international network of firms dedicated to shaping the future of the insurance industry, has announced the appointment of Matthew Lefchik to Node International as Director, Cyber Risk Management Services.

Matthew LefchikIn his new role, Lefchik is tasked with managing the firm’s growth across North America, setting strategic direction for the U.S. and Canada.

He will be tasked with leveraging his extensive expertise within the cyber and privacy insurance market, combined with his technical knowledge of operational cyber risks and best practices. He also takes responsibility for developing new solutions and service offerings to meet the needs of clients.

As Director, he will report to David Derigiotis, Corporate Senior Vice President, H.W. Kaufman Group.

Adding Matthew to the team, with his background in leading cybersecurity and telecommunications companies, reflects our intention to broaden Node’s reach beyond the United Kingdom,” said Alan Jay Kaufman, President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of H.W. Kaufman.

Lefchik brings more than 16 years of industry experience to the role, and most recently served as the Global Director of Strategic Partnerships and Sales for Avertium.

“Matthew’s extensive experience in risk reduction offers unique support to our producers in the field. His ability to translate risk management needs and insurance deficiencies into solutions will immediately impact collaboration across the network, providing exclusive products and programs to our clients and partners while strengthening our competitive advantage,” added Derigiotis.

H.W. Kaufman has also announced that Maxwell Barry, Associate Underwriter, Detroit/Farmington Hills, Michigan, also joins Node and will report to Lefchik.
