Hamilton Underwriting, the managing agency of Syndicate 3334 and Lloyd’s operations of Hamilton Insurance, has appointed Neil Lee-Amies as its new Head of Treaty.
Lee-Amies brings with him over 30 years’ experience in broking and underwriting. He joins from Chubb, having most recently served as Head of Marine and Energy Treaty for Chubb Tempest Re following the takeover by ACE Limited in 2015.
Prior to his time at Chubb, Lee-Amies served as Marine Non Proportional Treaty Manager/Underwriter for Wurttembergische UK (now Antares Underwriting Services Limited). He is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute.
Lee-Amies will report to Active Underwriter Miles Osorio. Osorio and Adrian Daws succeeded Trevor Carvey following Carvey’s resignation in February.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Dermot O’Donohoe, commented, “I’m delighted that Neil has joined the Hamilton team. He brings a proven track record of consistent, profitable underwriting results as well as strong client and broker relationships worldwide.”
“As we welcome Neil on board, we extend our sincere gratitude to Trevor for the significant contribution he made to the development of our Lloyd’s platform. We wish him every success in his future endeavours.”
