Specialty lines insurer HDI Global Specialty SE has named Olga Candi to the role of general manager at its Italian office.
Candi will be based in Milan, replacing Paolo Volpi. She is moving up from her current role of underwriter coordinator.
According to her LinkedIn profile, she joined the firm in 2016.
Ralph Beutter, CEO of HDI Global Specialty, said: “We are delighted that Olga will lead the Italy branch, and its team of professionals, through its next evolutionary phase to establish the branch as a significant player in the Italian specialty market.
“Olga is respected widely both within our group and by our business partners, and HDI Global Specialty believes in the potential the market has to offer and in the value that our security can provide.”
The appointment will also see Alberto Bellomi, managing director of HDI Global SE in Italy, take on the duties of legal representative for the HDI Global Specialty branch in support of its commercial transactions and operations.
Candi said in a statement: “I am excited to be able to lead the team here in Italy at this important time as we look to optimise the HDI Global Specialty footprint in our market, and I look forward to developing its potential for the benefit of my staff, our customers and the wider HDI Group.”
