HDI Global Specialty SE, a joint venture of reinsurance giant Hannover Re and HDI Global SE, has announced its move into the UK Fine Art market with the appointment of Nick Brett as Head of Fine Art.
He arrives from AXA Art, where he has served as Chief Executive of the UK division since 2015.
Brett spent a total of 19 years at AXA, having originally joined the company as a Development Underwriter in 2000.
He takes up his new role with immediate effect, and will be responsible for overseeing the growth of the new Fine Art line of business at HDI Global Specialty SE UK.
“Nick Brett is one of the most experienced and able fine art underwriters in the London market,” said Richard Taylor, HDI Global Specialty SE UK Managing Director and a member of the Executive Board.
“He’s known for being a commercially and technically astute lead underwriter,” Taylor added. “I am looking forward to working with him as we build out our fine art book and capabilities.”
