Global insurance broker Howden has announced the expansion of its Specialty Transportation & Logistics vertical with the launch of its US Trucking Practice.
The new practice has been designed to offer coordinated support for trucking and other fleet operators within the transport sector.
This comprehensive approach aims to assist clients with casualty risk, fleet safety, managing claims outcomes, and reducing the total cost of risk.
Working closely with Howden’s broader Transportation & Logistics team, the Trucking Practice combines risk advisory & insurance placement with claims advocacy and practical risk support, including guidance on telematics and safety technology.
Thomas O’Donnell, Practice Head of Transportation & Logistics, Howden US, commented: “Trucking companies are dealing with more volatility on every front. Claims, litigation, regulation and cost pressure.
“Our goal is simple: bring the right people, the right data, and the right solutions to the table to help clients protect their business and keep America moving. This is the right team to do just that.”
Michael Parrish, CEO, Howden Americas, said: “We’re building Transportation & Logistics the way we build specialty everywhere at Howden: deep sector expertise delivered through a coordinated platform designed around what clients actually need. By bringing dedicated trucking expertise into our national team, we can move faster, negotiate harder, and deliver more consistent support, from placement through claims.”
