HSB (UK & Ireland), a specialist engineering and technology insurance and inspection services provider, has announced the appointment of Mathilda Götz as Director of Strategy and Value Propositions.
In her new position, Götz will lead HSB’s enterprise-wide strategy and proposition development, overseeing its engineering inspection, insurance, and building warranty businesses.
She will partner with organisational leaders to align key strategic goals, identify emerging opportunities, and advance HSB’s long-term growth ambitions through customer-focused propositions and services.
Götz brings 18 years of experience in strategy, innovation and emerging technologies to her new role, having most recently served Munich Re.
During her time with the global reinsurer, she held a series of senior strategy, innovation and business development roles for risk transfer solutions across emerging technology markets, spanning cyber risks, artificial intelligence, block-chain- related technologies and emerging clean technologies.
Since joining Munich Re in 2009, she spearheaded the Group’s first cyber campaign and most recently led strategy and business development activities for Munich Re’s New and Green Tech Solutions division.
Prior to joining Munich Re, Götz held transformation roles with BMW Group and Rodenstock GmbH.
The executive’s career also includes previous roles with HSB as a Strategy Consultant, supporting the development of its building warranty propositions.
At HSB, Götz will be reporting to Chief Executive, Andrew Burke, who stated: “Mathilda brings an exceptional combination of strategic leadership, innovation expertise and deep understanding of emerging technologies.
