Hyperion X bolsters leadership team with three hires

Hyperion X, the data and technology focused unit of Hyperion Insurance Group, has announced a series of key leadership appointments.

hyperion-logoMark Shumway, who joined the firm late last year as head of strategic advisory, becomes head of advisory. He was recently employed by reinsurance broker JLT Re as the firm’s global head of strategic.

He also had a role as representative of JLT Capital Markets, the insurance-linked securities structuring and M&A arranging arm of the firm.

Shumway will specialise in re/insurance capital management, rating agency advisory, shareholder value, captive strategy, regulatory capital, and fundraising.

Iain Davie is appointed head of catastrophe modelling and brings over 20 years of underwriting, exposure modelling, and technology consulting experience to the team.

He joins from Quantemplate, where he served as head of solution architecture.

Michelle To becomes head of business intelligence and is experienced with using enterprise data to help clients execute strategic growth plans in the re/insurance market.

She joins from Aon Consulting, Bermuda, where she advised clients on growth, portfolio optimisation, and value creation.
