Ian Carson and Karen Payne have been appointed to the Australian Reinsurance Pool Corporation (ARPC) – a government scheme providing terrorism insurance coverage for commercial property, high value residential property from 1st July, and associated business interruption.
Carson will take up a role as part-time Chair for a three-year period from 1 July 2017 til the 30th of June 2020, and Payne has been appointed as part-time member for three years starting 5th October 2017.
Carson is currently a Partner and the Chairman of PPB Advisory – a professional advisory firm of which he is also a founding partner.
He also holds a position as a fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and is a registered liquidator.
Payne serves part-time as Chief Executive Officer and member of the Board of Taxation, and previously worked as a Partner at Minter Ellison focusing on international and corporate taxes.
