INSUREtrust, a cyber insurance and risk management broker within Starwind Specialty, has announced the establishment of its Private Equity Division.
This newly formed business unit will be spearheaded by Florence Levy, who assumed the role of Executive Vice President at INSUREtrust in March 2023.
Recognising the challenges associated with assessing digital, technology, and cyber risks, INSUREtrust has developed a suite of tools that will be offered through the Private Equity Division.
These tools aim to support clients during the due diligence phase of frequent merger and acquisition activities. The division will deliver a comprehensive range of services, including due diligence, risk management, and insurance solutions tailored specifically for private equity transactions.
Leveraging INSUREtrust’s extensive proprietary data and analytics accumulated over its 26 years in operation, the Private Equity Division will also utilise third-party vulnerability scanning, artificial intelligence-driven digital asset quantification tools, and deep expertise in the cyber insurance space.
By harnessing these resources, the division will offer custom solutions designed to address the unique risks faced by private equity firms. The services provided will play a pivotal role in helping clients navigate the intricate landscape of risk management and insurance in private equity transactions.
Christiaan Durdaller, CEO of INSUREtrust, expressed enthusiasm about the launch of the Private Equity Division, emphasising the division’s ability to introduce innovative tools to the market.
Durdaller highlighted the need for more forward-thinking approaches to assessing cyber and digital risk within private equity, particularly during transactions where gathering relevant information can be challenging. He emphasised that the division’s focus on bringing comprehensive data to the table will enable INSUREtrust to deliver more robust outcomes for clients.
INSUREtrust’s Private Equity Division will cater to clients across various industry sectors, including technology, healthcare, and finance.
The division’s offerings will encompass the requirements of both portfolio companies and fund managers throughout the process, ensuring a holistic approach to risk management.
Durdaller added that INSUREtrust remains dedicated to providing clients with tailored solutions and exceptional service. The establishment of the Private Equity Division is a testament to this commitment, and the company believes it will revolutionise the industry.
