Ironshore Inc. has announced two new appointments within its Bermuda property division, naming Ian Smith Senior Vice President (SVP), Head of Bermuda Property and Shane Rozario, as Chief Operating Officer (COO), Bermuda Property.
Smith joined the firm in 2013 as Vice President (VP), Property Underwriter, and previously spent five years with Arch Insurance (Bermuda). Before Arch, Smith worked within the energy division at XL Insurance (Bermuda), and he began his insurance industry career with Aon (Bermuda).
Mitchell Blaser, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Ironshore Bermuda, said; “Ian and Shane are seasoned employees of Ironshore with a proven track record of success and contributions, bringing a wealth of experience to their respective new roles within Bermuda Property.

Rozario has been with Ironshore since its establishment in 2007, and currently serves as a Director of Ironshore Insurance Ltd. Before Ironshore, Rozario was Vice President (VP) of Property and Energy Claims at XL Capital in Bermuda. He has also worked for Vericlaim and DP Mann Syndicate 435, which is now known as Faraday.
