IUA announces new Board members

The International Underwriting Association’s Board has welcomed three new members, all senior leaders from the London company market.

International-Underwriting-Association-2Its three new member representatives are Charlotte Lach, Chief Operating Officer of AIG UK and Global Specialty, Nick Hobbs, Chief Distribution Officer of Allianz Commercial and Stav Tsielepis, Group Chief Actuary of International General Insurance.

Lach is bringing to the Board over a decade of industry experience, time that she has spent with AIG. She joined the company in 2011 as a Casualty Writer and has held a number of roles within the insurer ever since.

Hobbs, who has 30 years of industry experience, has been CDO of Allianz Commercial since 2023, and has been a part of the Allianz group since 2001, having held various roles at AGCS in the UK, Europe, and North America.

Tsielepis is joining IUA’s Board with two decades of industry experience. He has been part of International General Insurance since 2022 when he joined the company as Group Chief Risk Officer, a role he held before being appointed to his current position as Group Chief Actuary.

In addition to these appointments, Chris Jones has also been confirmed as a member of the IUA Board.

The International Underwriting Association recently named Jones as their Chief Executive, and will officially assume his new role on May 1, 2025.

Jones said: “Our three new appointments are a clear demonstration of the strong interest and support for the work of the IUA at a senior level.

“I am pleased to welcome all three representatives whose significant expertise and experience will be a valuable asset in the future management of our association.”
