Jeff Irvan joins BMS as Chief Property Officer, US Reinsurance

BMS Group (“BMS”), the independent specialist re/insurance broker, has announced the appointment of Jeff Irvan as Chief Property Officer, US Reinsurance.

He joins BMS from Wills Re, where he most recently led the brokerage’s office in Atlanta, Georgia.

Irvan has more than 20 years’ experience in property reinsurance broking, having first started his career at Sedgwick Re in 1997.

He joined Willis Re in 1998, and has since held numerous leadership roles at the company with a focus on property E&S.

Irvan will take up his new role with immediate effect, reporting to Pete Chandler, US Reinsurance President at BMS.

“With the recent completion of a significant long-term investment in BMS by BCI and PCP, we are well placed to take advantage of the current market to significantly expand our reinsurance practice,” said US CEO Steve Korducki.

Last month, BMS appointed Gregg Holtmeier as Chief Strategy Officer for its US reinsurance division, and later announced a series of management changes within it’s the segment’s actuarial and analytics team.
