Jeff Saper promoted to CEO, Pacific at Guy Carpenter

Reinsurance broker Guy Carpenter, part of Marsh & McLennan Companies, has named a new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for the Pacific region, promoting Jeff Saper to the role.

Jeff Saper, Guy CarpenterSaper is a long-time Guy Carpenter employee in the Australia and Pacific region, having joined the company in 1999 and working there for seven years, before moving to rival Beach between 2006 and 2014, and then returning to Guy Carpenter as a Managing Director of GC Fac.

Saper will take on the role of CEO Pacific with immediate effect and will be responsible for overseeing Guy Carpenter’s Treaty and Facultative reinsurance broking activities in the Pacific region.

He will be tasked with the further development of the brokers growth strategy in the region and with strengthening its capabilities.

Saper will be based in Sydney, Australia and will report directly to Tony Gallagher, Asia Pacific CEO.

Saper has more than 30 years of reinsurance market experience, largely in brokerage.

When he re-joined Guy Carpenter in 2014 he took on the twin positions of Head of Casualty Facultative, Asia Pacific and Head of Facultative, Australia and will keep these two responsibilities in his new position as well.
