Bermuda-based reinsurer PartnerRe has announced the appointment of Jonathan Colello as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for P&C Americas, and President of Partner Reinsurance Company of the U.S.
Effective from July 1, 2019, he will report to Emmanuel Clarke, President and CEO of PartnerRe, and will become a member of the company’s Executive Leadership Team.
In his new role, Colello will have executive responsibility for leading PartnerRe’s Property & Casualty business in the US, Canada and Latin America, and for the company’s Health business in the U.S.
Most recently, Colello served as President North America for AXIS Re, where he was responsible for all underwriting platforms in Bermuda, Canada and the U.S, and served as a member of the Reinsurance Leadership Team.
He has spent the majority of his 20-year career in the reinsurance industry, and was previously President and Chief Underwriting Officer, U.S, for AXIS Re with responsibility for managing the U.S underwriting operation.

Last month, PartnerRe announced a reorganisation of its P&C business segment after it was revealed that Charles Goldies, CEO P&C, was set to leave the company.
