Aspen Insurance Holdings Limited has appointed Joshua Brekenfeld as Director of Global Corporate Development, effective August 2019.
Brekenfeld joins the insurer and reinsurer from Lloyd’s of London, where he worked in a number of senior roles over the past six years, most recently leading the business oversight relationship between Lloyd’s and ten firms that operate in the Lloyd’s market. Previously, he has held roles in the U.S. Senate.
Based in London, Brekenfeld will report to Mark Cloutier, Executive Chairman and Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO), and will work closely with other senior leaders at the firm, including Group Chief Operating Officer (COO) Mike Cain, Chief Strategy Officer Marcus Foley, Group General Counsel Silvia Martinez, and Global Head of Insurance Marketing and Distribution and Head of Insurance London, Jonny Atkinson.
