Liberty Specialty enters Netherlands Fine Art & Specie market with underwriting hire

Subsidiary of Liberty Mutual Insurance Group, Liberty Specialty Markets (LSM), has announced the appointment of Paul Seip as Senior Underwriter, Fine Art & Specie, signalling the firm’s entry into the business line in the Netherlands.

Paul SeipSeip will undertake his new role from August 1st, 2017 and will be based in the company’s The Hague office, reporting to David Saillen, Head of Fine Art & Specie for Continental Europe and Rob Groenen, Country Manager for the Netherlands.

In his new role he will have responsibility for developing LSM’s business and the development of bespoke solutions for a broad scope of clients across the Netherlands.

He joins the firm from AXA Art, where he spent the last five years as a Senior Underwriter for Fine Art & Specie. Before AXA Art, Seip worked for global insurer, Allianz.

Commenting the appointment, LSM’s Head of Europe, Kadidja Sinz, said; “Paul’s appointment signals that our growth plans for Europe are well advanced. His arrival in The Hague opens up new avenues for our Netherlands team and will lead to the development of many great partnerships in this market. His established reputation and credentials in Fine Art and Specie are valuable assets to Liberty and our ambitions in this sector.”
