Lloyd’s has announced plans to establish a hub in Manchester in an effort to recruit talent and enhance its digitalisation capabilities.

Lloyd'sThe historic insurance and reinsurance marketplace says Manchester was selected for its high density of talent, and that it should be up and running by January 2022.

There’s expected to be a significant number of digital roles based in Manchester as the project nears completion.

“We are excited to base our digital delivery capability in a new ‘hub’ in Manchester and attract new talent to Lloyd’s. I’m a proud Mancunian myself, and was delighted when our analysis showed that the City would be the best location to base our new hub,” said Jennifer Rigby, Lloyd’s Chief Operating Officer.

“The roles we’re recruiting for are opportunities to help transform the Lloyd’s market and join an organisation where our teams have the tools, technologies and mindset for truly flexible working. This is an important next step for Lloyd’s and our digital ambitions.”

Concurrently, consultations have began to help re-imagine the iconic Underwriting Room and supporting spaces in the Lloyd’s building.

The marketplace is inviting feedback on an early direction for the future vision via its collaboration hub.

As part of the second phase of the consultation, it’s inviting all stakeholders globally to provide feedback and participate in discussion forums.
