US security specialist 1st Watch Global has partnered with Pioneer Programs Insurance Solutions and EC3 Brokers on an active assailant prevention program designed to assess the readiness of various public locations for an assault by an active assailant.
Assessments, carried out by a team of ex-FBI agents and homeland security professionals, are designed to determine the preventative changes necessary to maximise security and ensures eligibility for the insurance policy.
A purpose-built plan of action during and following an incident is also included as part of the proposition.
The program, titled Targeted Violence Program: Pioneer/1st Watch Global Program, is backed by Lloyd’s capacity and was launched on 1 November primarily for the US market.
“This programme goes above and beyond any intervention currently in place and will take underwriting to a level it’s never reached before,” said Raymond Holcomb, managing director, 1st Watch Global.
“We are global experts helping clients prepare for, respond to and recover from these crises.”
Michael Kwan, president, Pioneer Programs, added, “Armed assailant attacks are a pandemic striking all facets of society and the problem seems to be getting worse.
“1st Watch Global is a fantastic, noble team of ex-FBI agents trying to save lives by providing the only proactive programme of its kind. We are delighted to partner with them to provide a much-needed solution.”
Danny Driscoll, CEO, EC3 Brokers, noted, “We are excited to work alongside 1st Watch Global and Pioneer Programs and fully support the result the team is striving to achieve. This initiative is ahead of the curve and we look forward to working with them within the London market.”
