Lockton, a privately held insurance brokerage and risk management firm, has announced that its Lockton SAGE enterprise intelligence platform is now being made available more widely across its US business.

The platform has been developed to combine Lockton’s proprietary data, advanced analytics, AI-enabled technology and specialist knowledge to help clients make more informed decisions.

Originally launched within Lockton Re, Lockton SAGE is now being expanded across Lockton’s wider US operations, including Risk Solutions, People Solutions and Reinsurance, according to the firm.

The expansion responds to the challenges organisations face as they manage increasingly complex decisions involving people, finance and risk. The company noted that many businesses continue to operate with fragmented information, separate data sources and multiple AI solutions that do not always provide a complete view of their needs.

“No firm is better positioned to lead clients into the age of AI than Lockton, but technology alone is never the advantage; real impact comes from combining powerful intelligence with exceptional people,” commented Ron Lockton, Chairman and CEO of Lockton.

“Our data, technology, and expertise were built together over time, not bolted on through acquisition, so they work as one, and we built Lockton SAGE to make our advisors better; giving them the insight to deliver a smarter, more personal way for clients to navigate risk and reach stronger outcomes. The firms that lead the next decade will be the ones that pair great technology with great people, and that is exactly where we are focused.”

Lockton SAGE has been created to bring together information, analysis and advisory expertise through AI-enabled capabilities that help identify important trends, priorities and recommendations relevant to individual clients.

The platform combines information from policies, quotes, claims and exposures, applying analytics alongside Lockton’s human expertise to provide what the company describes as faster and more targeted guidance. Lockton said the system can help identify developing risks, highlight opportunities and support earlier action to improve financial and operational resilience.

For clients, Lockton said the platform represents a move beyond a traditional insurance service model towards a more tailored environment built around each organisation’s objectives, priorities and key measures of success.

Throughout the insurance lifecycle, Lockton SAGE connects data-driven insights with advisory support, helping clients develop a clearer understanding of their risk profile and make decisions aligned with their wider goals, the company said.

The platform improves the way client information is gathered and managed through automated data capture and real-time collaboration, reducing administrative effort while creating a more comprehensive view of exposure.

The firm added that Lockton SAGE provides more detailed analytics by examining a client’s wider risk environment and moving beyond broad market comparisons to deliver insights specific to individual circumstances.

The platform also gives clients greater visibility into risk management options, allowing them to consider the financial impact of different programme structures before making decisions. The company said continuous analysis of products, market segments and carriers helps clients better understand available solutions and identify suitable coverage options.

Lockton added that improved efficiency from the platform enables its Associates to dedicate more time to strategic advice, supported by the firm’s relationships across the insurance marketplace and its focus on representing client interests.

According to Lockton, its private ownership model supports a long-term approach to investment, allowing the firm to develop a flexible technology platform capable of incorporating future advances in AI as the needs of organisations continue to develop.

Lockton SAGE has been designed to evolve alongside client requirements, providing a foundation for ongoing innovation and helping businesses prepare for future changes in the risk environment.

“The market is full of tools, but clients need the right intelligence — connected, contextual, and built around how they actually make decisions. Lockton SAGE is our commitment to delivering exactly that. It’s not a single product. It’s the collective expertise of Lockton, working together to give every client greater confidence at every decision point,” added Claude Yoder, Chief Data, Analytics, and Digital Officer, Lockton.
