Insurance broker Lockton has announced the promotion of Sallie Giblin as President of its San Diego operations, succeeding Jim Skeen, the founding President of the company’s San Diego office.
Giblin has been with Lockton for 12 years in a client relationship position, and her new role will see her lead a team of property / casualty insurance and employee benefits experts, which serve commercial clients in the U.S. and abroad.
As well as taking on new responsibilities, Giblin will continue her client and business development responsibilities as President of the San Diego office.
Tim Noonan, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Lockton’s Pacific operations, commented: “Sallie is a dynamic leader and client advisor. She has earned the trust of clients and Associates alike, and will allow Lockton to continue building on the foundation that Jim Skeen and the team have built during the past 16 years in San Diego.”
Giblin, added: “I’m passionate about my husband, my kids and my clients. In this expanded role, I’ll be focused on connecting more people, building stronger relationships and helping our clients’ businesses thrive. With our high-performance culture and private ownership, we are well positioned to double in size in the next five years.”
Skeen joined Lockton in 2002 to launch its San Diego operations, a team that now has more than 75 associates who serve 300 companies. He will continue to serve on the Pacific operation’s executive committee, and will hold the title of founder.
