Marsh adjusts senior leadership in UK and Ireland

Insurance and reinsurance broker Marsh has made two changes to its UK senior leadership.

marsh-logoAccording to the broker, Simon Delchar has been appointed head of placement, while Clarissa Franks has been given the role of placement leader for the risk management, corporate, and commercial businesses. Both roles are centred around the UK and Ireland.

Marsh said that Winsee Cheung will continue her role as placement leader for UK & Ireland, Marsh Specialty. Both Franks and Cheung will continue to be based in London; Franks will report to Delchar, while Cheung will report to Delchar and Dominic Samengo-Turner, CEO, UK and Ireland, Marsh Specialty.

Lucy Clarke, president of Marsh Specialty and Global Placement, said: “Supporting our clients in the management of their risks and securing optimal insurance that protects their people and assets underpins our global placement strategy. As these risks become more complex – and the insurance market more challenging – Simon, Clarissa, and Winsee will play pivotal roles in developing of these fast-growing areas of our business.

Delchar is currently head of Marsh Specialty in Asia, a position he has held since 2019. He has also worked in senior broking roles at Lloyd & Partners and JLT Group. As head of placement, UK & Ireland, he will oversee the development of placement solutions that support Marsh’s clients in managing the broad-ranging risks they now face. He will relocate from Singapore to London for his new role.
