Insurance and reinsurance broker Marsh has appointed Giampaolo Scarso to the newly created role of Client Advisory Services (CAS) Leader for its International division and Charlie Netherton as CAS Leader for UK & Ireland.
CAS is focused on delivering strategic advisory services, and includes Marsh’s global risk consulting, analytics, captive management, and claims advocacy support.
Scarso joined Marsh in 2007 and has since held a series of leadership roles at the company, most recently as CAS Leader for the Continental Europe, Middle East & Africa (CEMEA) and Latin America and Caribbean (LAC) regions.
In his new role, Scarso will be based in Milan and will report to Michael Poulos, Global Head of CAS at Marsh.
Netherton joined Marsh in 2016 to lead Marsh Risk Consulting (MRC) in the UK & Ireland, and will report to Scarso and to Chris Lay, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Marsh UK & Ireland, in his new role. He will also join the UK & Ireland Executive Committee.
