Marsh to launch global cyber practice to enhance risk management

Marsh, a global insurance broker and risk advisor, has announced the establishment of a comprehensive Marsh Specialty global cyber practice.

marsh-logoThis initiative integrates Marsh’s extensive cyber capabilities, spanning insurance, risk intelligence, incident management, and cybersecurity on a global scale.

The new practice, set to formally commence operations on January 1, 2024, will be spearheaded by Tom Reagan, presently serving as Cyber Practice Leader for the US and Canada within Marsh Specialty.

In his new role as Global Specialty Head of Cyber, Reagan will be entrusted with delivering cutting-edge transactional and advisory services.

His mandate is to empower clients worldwide in better identifying, quantifying, and mitigating their cyber risks. Reagan will continue to operate out of New York.

Meredith Schnur, currently holding the position of Cyber Brokerage Leader for the US and Canada, will transition to lead Marsh Specialty’s US and Canada Cyber Practice, stepping into her new role on January 1. Schnur will remain based in New York.

Furthermore, on January 1, Greg Eskins, who currently serves as Cyber Product Leader for the US and Canada, will assume leadership of the newly-formed Global Cyber Insurance Center.

This center will be tasked with supervising the development and implementation of innovative cyber insurance solutions addressing both existing and emerging risk concerns worldwide. Eskins will be headquartered in Miami.

Brian Warszona, previously Deputy UK Cyber Practice Leader, will ascend to lead the freshly established Global Cyber Digital Center.

This center’s remit will encompass the development and deployment of pioneering digital tools and resources tailored for clients. Warszona will relocate from London to Chicago for his new role.

Pat Donnelly, President of Marsh Specialty and Global Placement, highlighted the persistent and evolving nature of cyber risk, emphasising the imperative for organisations worldwide to navigate this challenge effectively.

He expressed confidence that, under Tom’s stewardship, the consolidation of Marsh’s premier cyber capabilities will fortify their ability to assist clients and communities in managing cyber risks amidst the realities of today’s digital economy.
