McGill and Partners adds Petersen to US Casualty team

Specialist re/insurance broker McGill and Partners has appointed Casey Petersen Partner and Head of the US Casualty team.

McGill and partnersIn his new role, Petersen will be responsible for building out and maintaining the US client base for large casualty; including general liability, workers compensation, auto liability, and umbrella/excess liability.

Petersen has over 23 years of underwriting and broking experience. He joins McGill and Partners from WTW, where he spent over 18 years running various broking operations, the most recent being North America Primary Casualty Broking Leader.

He has worked with some of the largest corporations in North America including Walgreens, Boeing, AbbVie, Old Dominion Freight Lines and many others. Petersen started his underwriting career at Chubb Insurance, where he served as Commercial Underwriter for almost five years.

Commenting on his appointment, Petersen said: “I joined McGill and Partners for the opportunity to be involved in the build out of a brand, utilising some of the best talent in the industry. Being able to provide superior service without barriers.”

Petersen is McGill and Partners’ most recent addition. It follows Jacqueline Tovey’s appointment as Facultative Reinsurance Partner in August, and Andy Hill as Partner in the company’s Structured Solutions team in April.
