McGill hires WTW’s Neelan as Partner & Head of US Operations

Specialist re/insurance broker McGill and Partners has hired Tresa Neelan as a Partner and its Head of US Operations from rival Willis Towers Watson.

tresa-neelan-mcgill-partnersNeelan joined McGill this month and is tasked with providing strategic leadership to its organisational work in the United States, also focusing on delivering sustainable growth and operational excellence for its clients there.

At Willis Towers Watson, Neelan was most recently a Director and Operational Insights Leader.

During her career, Neelan worked at Marsh as a casualty and aviation broker for almost a decade, beginning her career as an Insurance Assistant and working her way up to become a Casualty Client Manager and prior to departing the firm an Aviation Broker.

Neelan moved to Willis Towers Watson in 2005 as a Casualty Broker and Vice President.

She then moved to the operations side of the broking business, becoming Principal Director of Operations for the East Central Division and a Senior Vice President in 2011.

Neelan then moved up to the Director and Operational Insights Leader role in 2018, where she was responsible for delivering innovative solutions, leading the evaluation of existing processes and developing plans to improve while meeting strategic objectives.

As Head of US Operations at McGill and Partners, Neelan will work alongside management and specialist teams including Technology, Finance, Legal, Compliance and Risk, to support sustainable growth and service to clients.

Neelan said that she joined McGill and Partners “for the incredible opportunity to work with the top talent in our industry and help build an innovative and dynamic insurance brokerage company.”
