Michael Abramson named Partner & Risk Transfer Specialist, Hymans Robertson

Michael Abramson has joined Hymans Robertson from Prudential as a Partner and Risk Transfer Specialist, based in the firm’s London office.

logo-hymans-robertsonMost recently he was Prudential’s Director of Wholesale Transactions, and brings roughly 15 years of industry experience to his new role. While at Prudential he was responsible for the firm’s bulk annuity team and was involved in more than £5 billion of longevity hedging on its annuity back book.

He has been involved in a number of the most prominent deals witnessed in the risk transfer space, including both the largest buy-in (£3 billion) and buy-out (£2.5 billion) ever completed.

Before joining Prudential, he held a number of senior roles at Legal & General’s bulk annuity team, and at Mercer.
