Global re/insurer MS Amlin is partnering with the recently-launched cyber insurance analytics firm Envelop Risk on solutions for the reinsurance market.
Under the terms of the partnership, Envelop Risk and MS Amlin will underwrite a cyber reinsurance portfolio with MS Amlin AG as capacity provider.
Led by Envelop Risk Chief Underwriting Officer Ari Chatterjee, Envelop will be responsible for the sourcing, underwriting, product development and marketing of any potential cyber reinsurance deals, while MS Amlin will assist with risk management and advising on the reported claims.

The portfolio will cover both proportional and non-proportional structures, and target multiple geographies. Underwriting capacity will be available from October 1 with various transactions already under consideration.
