Nautilus Insurance Group, a Berkley company, has announced a number of executive leadership changes, including the appointment of Bill Floros as Senior Vice President (SVP) and Chief Underwriting Officer (CUO).
Floros takes over the role from Tom Joyce, who has been appointed President, succeeding Thomas Kuzma, who recently assumed the role of Chairman at the company.
Floros brings more than three decades of experience to the firm, most recently serving as EVP/CUO for a leading binding authority company and holding executive-level underwriting roles at numerous other carriers, and also a large national MGA.
Joyce commented: “I’m confident Nautilus and our partners will benefit immensely from Bill’s experience, expertise, vision, and strategic direction. Bill’s leadership will help to ensure that we continue to provide innovative solutions and the highest level of customer service for our partners.”
During his career, Floros has served on the Board of three successful companies and participated as a member of numerous multiple market councils for E&S carriers, including the Nautilus Agent Council.
On his new role, Floros said: “I’ve worked with Nautilus as an Agent Partner and Council member for several years and know first-hand that they hold to the highest standards in integrity, professionalism, and service. It is an honor to lead the underwriting team.
“I look forward to this opportunity to continue to strengthen Nautilus’ value while providing smart underwriting solutions in this ever-changing marketplace.”
