Nayms, a Bermuda-based crypto insurer, has named Nick Zagoreos as Head of Capital Markets.
In his new role, Zagoreos will be responsible for supporting Nayms insurance partners with their capital raising efforts and scaling the available capacity on Nayms for new programs.
Additionally, he will be connecting with crypto-venture firms, hedge funds and family offices as the company introduces insurance as a regulated asset class to the cryptocurrency market.
Nayms provides a fully-regulated bridge for the insurance sector to the $1tn+ market of cryptocurrency capital.
The firm became fully-regulated in Bermuda in May 2022, becoming the world’s first crypto-native insurance marketplace to become fully regulated in the country, according to Nayms.
Zagoreos brings over 25 years of experience in hedge funds, ILS and most recently capital raising for new initiatives through his advisory firm, Korthi Capital.
As well as extensive experience in the traditional and alternative capital raising space having worked at Lazard, MAN/GLG and Third Point Re, Nayms added.
