Neil McConachie exits Third Point Re board

Neil McConachie, a prominent reinsurance executive who previously helped to found Fidelis, has resigned from the board of hedge fund-backed Third Point Re.

third-point-reinsurance-ltd-logoAccording to a United States Stock Exchange Commission filing Third Point Re’s board received the resignation of McConachie on 1 July 2019. The effective date of the resignation is 1 July 2019.

Neil McConachie had been appointed to Third Point Re’s board to replace Christopher Collins, who stepped down on 12 December 2017.

McConachie had previously been a board member between November 2013 to June 2015 as the Chairman of the Governance and Nominating Committee and as a member of the Audit, Compensation, and Risk Committees

Prior to serving on Third Point Re’s Board, McConachie worked for re/insurer Lancashire Group between February 2006 and June 2012, holding the roles of CFO, Chief Risk Officer, Chief Operating Officer and President. He also served as an executive member of the Board of Directors.

McConachie also worked at Montpelier Re from January 2002 to January 2006, holding the positions of Senior Vice President, Treasurer and Chief Accounting Officer.
