Ben Murphy has become the latest of a string of high profile hires by Neon over the last 12 months across London and Bermuda offices as the firm expands to grow its Property Insurance offering.
Neon has appointed Ben Murphy to its Property Insurance London team, to support the expansion of the firm’s commercial binder space, open market Direct & Facultative (D&F), and property reinsurance.
The firm’s Property Insurance offering is led by Chris Fisher; additional recent appointments include Property D&F underwriters Dwayne Hunt and Kevin Stokes in Bermuda, and Sam Yates and Catherine Sethi in London.
Murphy is set to work with experienced Lloyd’s underwriter who joined Neon earlier this year, Jonathan Powell.
Martin Reith, Neon Chief Executive, commented; “I am very pleased to welcome Ben to Neon. Property is an area where we see great potential and our continued ability to attract exceptionally high quality talent drives great confidence in the business, as we deliver on the opportunities we have identified.
“Ben has an excellent reputation coupled with some fantastic relationships in the London market and will be an integral part of our growing London Property Binders team.”
Prior to his appointment, Murphy worked for Hiscox, spending 12 years as a Property Underwriter, latterly working on the Commercial property account and specialised in North American and Caribbean business.
