Newline Europe, a subsidiary of Newline Insurance Company Limited, has announced the appointment of Johannes Beckers as Head of Cyber for the Europe-wide expansion of its cyber insurance business.
In his new role, based in Cologne, Beckers has been tasked to drive growth and the development of Newline Europe’s cyber insurance portfolio.
He will report to Manuel Wirtz, CEO of Newline Europe, who commented: “We are convinced that Johannes, with his many years of experience and his deep understanding of cyber risks, will be an enormous asset to our team.
“His expertise will enable us to offer innovative cyber insurance solutions that meet the unique needs of our customers.”
Beckers, who most recently served as a senior underwriter at Zurich Group Germany, brings more than a decade of underwriting experience to Newline. He is also a valued speaker at industry events and author of technical articles on cyber risk.
