Specialist listed Lloyd’s insurer, Novae Group (Novae), has appointed Sarah Cracroft – who joins from Everards Insurance Brokers – to Marine Trades Underwriting Manager.
Cracoft brings nearly three decades of insurance industry experience to her new role, having held senior broking positions at a number of organisations.
At Novae she will report to Paul Hartley, Marine Class Underwriter.
Commenting on the appointment, Darren Carr, Head of Marine at Novae, said; “we have enjoyed working with Sarah in her capacity as a broker and coverholder for many years, and she has an excellent reputation in the UK marine insurance sector.
“By adding Sarah to our team, we have immediately strengthened our product-led approach as well as our service proposition to current partners, but we also hope to greatly enhance our distribution capabilities for the future.
“Marine has been a consistently strong performer for Novae in the past and remains a key strategic development area for the syndicate going forward.
“In these testing market conditions, we are maintaining good underwriting discipline on the existing portfolio, however we are also continuing to identify and directly target the more profitable areas that remain, with marine trades being a prime example.”
