Orchid Underwriters Agency, LLC (Orchid Insurance), a specialty underwriter of catastrophe exposed property insurance, has appointed Joe Zuk as Managing Director (MD) of Corporate Development & Strategy.
In this newly created role, he will be responsible for Orchid’s corporate development and strategic initiatives across the enterprise, reporting to Brad Emmons, President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at Orchid.
As a member the executive team, Zuk will also work closely with Emmons and Orchid’s partner, TowerBrook Capital Partners, in promoting the growth of the business through mergers and acquisitions, organic growth opportunities, and new strategic initiatives.
Zuk joins Orchid from Atlas General Holdings, where he most recently served as President of its Commercial and Property divisions, while also directing the company’s corporate growth and development strategies.
He has more than 15 years’ experience in both the insurance and reinsurance industries, and has developed relationships across both U.S and international markets as a broker and underwriter.
