Managing General Agent (MGA) Arcadian Risk Capital has appointed Paddy Cole as Senior Vice President, Professional Liability of its Bermuda PL team, where he will work alongside Sally Gibson – EVP Professional Liability.
He joins from Markel where he served for just under nine years.
During his tenure at Markel, Cole served as an Executive Underwriter where he wrote standalone Cyber, Employment Practices Liability, Wage & Hour and Management Liability accounts for both professional firms and large commercial corporations.
Prior to Markel, Cole spent three years underwriting at PartnerRe, and before that, spent 10 months serving as an underwriter at White Horse Insurance Ireland Ltd.
Cole started his career as a Commercial Underwriter at RSA in Dublin.
He began working in the firms private household as an underwriter, before being moved to the firm’s global team which were charged with placing large commercial risk in the Irish and global markets.
Arcadian UK standalone authorisation was approved by the Financial Conduct Authority on August 12, 2022 with Arcadian Ireland authorisation granted by the CBI Central Bank of Ireland on August 9, 2022.
