PartnerRe names Jerome Matrundola as Asia-Pacific CEO of Life & Health

PartnerRe has named Jerome Matrundola as CEO of Life & Health, Asia-Pacific, to lead PartnerRe’s Life and Health business operations in that region effective September 11, 2017.

PartnerRe logoMatrundola will work closely with PartnerRe’s existing teams in Singpore and Zurich to grow the firm’s life and health Asia-Pacific reinsurance market.

PartnerRe said his appointment underlines the firm’s commitment to the region, which is leading the world in growth of demand for life and health insurance solutions as expanding economies raise increasing numbers out of poverty and into the middle-income range.

Matrundola will be based in PartnerRe’s Hong Kong office reporting to Marc Archambault, CEO Life & Health and Group Executive Committee member.

Matrundole joins from SCOR where he acted as Head of North Asia and Regional Partnerships based in Hong Kong and a member of the Asia-Pacific Senior Management Team.

He brings 14 years of experience in reinsurance in a variety of roles and regions, including strategy development, and both business and market development through innovation across many markets spanning Europe and Asia-Pacific.

He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries.
