Pop Group appoints Shannon Murphy as Group CIO

M&A investors and specialists Pop Group Holdings has appointed Shannon Murphy as the Group’s Chief Information Officer (CIO), based out of Singapore.

handshake-bwMurphy’s remit will include spearheading all aspects of POP’s digital strategy, technology operations, information security, engineering, and service management across the firm’s global brands Fusion Specialty and io.insure.

Additionally, he will lead the platform development and delivery of io.insure, a M&A and specialty insurance online marketplace under POP.

Murphy will oversee the next-generation product and service offerings of the recently launched Mio™ that the company plans to expand globally later this year and in 2024.

Murphy has 30 years of experience in fronting technology roles across the industry, he was also formerly the Head of Technology at Amazon Web Services, developing cloud strategies for Singapore enterprises.

Prior to this, he was Chief Technology Officer at leading fintech MoneyHero Group, where he built the security practice, and led change management and digital transformation initiatives across the Greater Southeast Asia region.

Previously, he also served as the Chief Technology Officer for large insurers such as ING, AIG, and AXIS in Asia Pacific.
