Praxis Reciprocal Exchange, a Florida-domiciled reciprocal exchange home insurer, has announced the appointment of Ross Bowie as Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Bowie will also serve as Chief Executive Officer of PRE Risk Management, the attorney-in-fact for Praxis Reciprocal Exchange.
Launched in 2025, Praxis has since completed multiple successful takeouts and built a disciplined underwriting operation in one of the country’s most challenging property markets.
He joins Praxis’ President, Jennifer Gravelle, and the rest of the leadership team to build on the firm’s momentum and begin the next phase of its growth plan, focused on meeting the needs of catastrophe-exposed customers across Florida through a diverse range of products, solutions and capital providers.
This includes deliberate growth of its MGA platform, with new products, new programmes and additional risk capital partners, as Praxis builds a holistic set of solutions for Florida’s cat-exposed market.
Bowie brings more than 20 years of industry experience focused on Florida property insurance.
Most recently, he served as Chief Executive Officer of Private Client Select. Prior to that, he was President and Chief Underwriting Officer at Orchid Insurance.
Earlier in his career, Bowie spent nearly a decade at ASI, where he most recently served as Vice President, ASI Select.
In a recent LinkedIn post, Bowie commented, “Over the past year, the Praxis team has established Praxis Reciprocal Exchange, successfully completed several policy takeouts, and built a well-managed, growing book of business. Now, we’ll build on that foundation to expand our presence in the Florida market and broaden our offerings. As we grow, we’ll stay focused on creating an experience for our broker partners and customers that works like magic and feels genuinely personal.”
