Independent reinsurance broker Price Forbes Re has announced the appointment of Erik Matson, a market veteran with 35 years of industry experience, as Senior Advisor.
Matson is a highly-regarded figure in the reinsurance market, known for founding Bridgehaven Europe and Transverse Insurance Group, where he is credited with creating the term “hybrid-front.”
His extensive background includes executive positions at AIG, Munich Re, and WTC (Gen Cap), where he built expertise in key areas such as underwriting operations, program structures, and reinsurance partnerships.
Furthermore, his military leadership expertise has given him a disciplined approach to risk assessment, strategic planning, and structured decision-making throughout his career.
