Reinsurance firm QBE Re has announced that it has appointed Debbi Wood as Head of Claims, subject to regulatory approval.
Wood will start her new role in April, where she will report to Mike East, Claims Director, QBE Europe. The new role will also see her become a member of the EO Claims Executive leadership team as well as becoming part of QBE Re’s senior leadership.
Wood has worked for QBE for almost 20 years. Throughout her tenure at the firm, she has served in various roles across QBE’s claims function, most recently as Claims Manager, Financial and Specialty Markets (FSM), Complex Claims for QBE Europe.

QBE Re also confirmed that Fiona Sperry, Head of Complex Claims, will act as Interim Claims Manager for FSM in addition to her current role while recruitment is ongoing.
