Jamie Cook, formerly of reinsurance broker Guy Carpenter, has joined QBE Insurance as the new Global Head of Client Management, QBE Re, effective June 2021.
Cook joins the reinsurer after spending three years with Guy Carpenter, most recently as Managing Director, Global Account Segment and Regional Sales Leader, EMEA.
Previously, he spent three years with reinsurance giant Swiss Re as Director, Divisional Broker Representative, EMEA.
Earlier in his career, Cook also spent time with Munich Re as a Client Manager in London.
From 2004 to 2012, he worked at Guy Carpenter in Sydney, Australia as Managing Director, Head of Broking – Australia / New Zealand. Following this, he moved to London and served as Guy Carpenter’s Managing Director, Head of Property Treaty for the Asia Pacific region.
From 1993 to 2004, Cook held numerous positions at reinsurance broker Willis Re, including as a reinsurance broker, an associate director of broking, and as an executive director.
He brings 28 years of international reinsurance experience to his new role with QBE Re, and has built successful client relationships in numerous territories, including Australia and New Zealand, Europe, Japan, and the Lloyd’s of London and UK market.
