International commercial insurer and reinsurer, International General Insurance Holdings Limited (IGI), has hired Robin Sidders as Head of Investor Relations, effective January 13th, 2020.
In her new role, Sidders will be based in London and will work closely with IGI’s executive team and senior management, as well as the company’s Board of Directors, in order to design and lead IGI’s investor relations strategy.
She will have a particular focus on financial communications, corporate access and visibility, and relationships with the investment community, while at the same time playing an important role in the company’s transition to a public company framework.
In October of last year, IGI announced that it had entered into a business combination agreement with special purpose acquisition firm Tiberius Acquisition Corp., which will result in the public listing of IGI. The firm anticipates that the listing will occur in the first-quarter of 2020, subject to regulatory approvals.
Sidders brings more than 25 years of industry experience to the role, having served for more than 14 years as Director of Investor Relations at PartnerRe. She saw the Bermudian reinsurer through significant business, regulatory, and leadership change, which ended in the sale and delisting of PartnerRe.
IGI’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Wasef Jabsheh, commented: “We are delighted to bring Robin on board to join the IGI team. IGI is on the brink of an important transition in its evolution, and Robin, with her many years of public company experience and knowledge of the insurance and reinsurance market, will play an important role in this transition.”
Sidders added: “I am thrilled to join IGI and to be part of this journey at such an important time in the company’s evolution.
“Over its 19-year history, IGI has established a unique entrepreneurial culture with a strong team, and I look forward to working with them on moving to an equally successful public company life.”
